Your body is your...Best Marketing Tool?

Your body is your temple, your vessel, AND your marketing tool..that is, whether you like it or not. So always remember to be kind to it. This is something that took me a long time to understand and I feel like if someone had really sat me down and explained it, I would of been a lot kinder to myself and probably gotten my body together a lot earlier in life, so here it goes..hopefully this makes sense and let me know if it doesn't...

First of all , vanity it not the right reason to workout and be healthy something you do for a superficial reason will never last long term but, the physical, mental and emotional effect of working out and being healthy are so powerful that they usually take over sometime after vanity originally ropes you into working out and eating right which is not only alright it's awesome. But!if you think of yourself, your life as a business which all of us should to one extent or another even if you never ever have any intention on starting or owning a business of your own mainly because whoever you work for or are trying to work for will view you this way.

Now, don't get me wrong I am fully aware we are never to judge a book by it's cover, etc etc. but is this how we really live our lives and do business? In almost every large successful company their MARKETING budget is the largest budget of any department. Surprised? well you shouldn't be, no one will by your product if they don't know about it and without sales there could be no IT, no HR, no accounting etc. Marketing is that enticing ad, booth, commercial, website, or in many cases person that intrigues you to find out more and eventually buy that product.

In many ways our body and our appearance are our marketing tools it is that first impression that entices a person or business to want to get to know us, as well as our opportunity, when we are fit, to show we are in balance, we have more endorphins running through our body and are thus "happier" than a counterpart who does not workout, we care and love ourselves, which is good because who wants to run a company with someone working for you who cares more about your business than taking care of themselves..that would be a lot on your conscience and not natural. So the old saying is true you cannot truly love someone else until you truly love yourself, and OF COURSE they must be better at managing their time than someone who does not workout because GOD KNOWS it isn't easy to make time to workout! Plus committing to continually improving is important in any industry to stay competitive. Does everyone at YOUR company do something everyday or 4 days a week to improve themselves? Well if not, you will know mentally you are just that much sharper.

Don't even get me started on "exercising" our "demons" that traffic, those lines, having to take on those extra responsibilities while someone is on vacation, whatever frustrates you, there has to be something, your mother-in-law, something we all have something, and when you have a regular exercise program you have a mental and physical release. Have you ever had a "yelly" boss.. I am willing to bet that WASN'T the one you would find in the gym and he/she was probably yelling to get their cardio. lol.. no one wants that..those are issues that usually get inherited not hired... lol Granted, there is only so much in our environment that we can control but for everyone everywhere you can control your workout and a side effect of that is feeling better, more in control, and literally more chemically balanced because of it... not to mention the actual physical benefits of looking nicer, glowing skin, a healthier back, reduced risk of disease, depression, sickness, etc.

It is truly amazing what you can endure once you find your peace and center. Even when you are getting tossed in the fire by your boss on your worst day, if you took a 20 minute meditation to really find your center and got your heart rate up and already "accomplished" a workout that morning I GUARANTEE you won't be so personally effected by it. It is important to be able to accomplish personal goals outside of work..

once you realize you are so much more than just your job you will naturally be more attractive to the world weather you are looking for a job, or selling your products and services. It is just a law of POSITIVE ATTRACTION. I believe many very successful people think the same way it seems to me the big companies that I have applied to, worked with, or been in lately have an executive team that looks very different than the executive teams of say 20 years ago, not many "fat cats" anymore. Not that I am hating because I am NOT A HATER plus I once had a very fat cat look to me but I can honestly say that since I lost the weight and had to be humbled in my struggle to do so (not easy when you are used to being pretty darn good at everything you do) but it would have been much worse if I had given up, if I was so embarrassed that I couldn't even do 2 pull ups that I just stopped trying. As I am working out and meditating I am mostly not thinking about how good I am gonna look..which is good I recommend no one ever does that because you won't be building yourself into the kind of person you would like, but I am soul searching and many times I am thinking about projects at work and sometimes I come up with the best ideas as I am working through my frustrations through my 3rd set of star jumps because God knows you do not want to be thinking about those star jumps because star jumps are hard! lol. A good sweat sesh combined with a nice long meditation or savasana makes me feel closer to the me I aspire to be and God as well because all those frustrations and things that are usually swirling through my head and getting in the way are already worked out and gone.

We only get 1 life (well this go around if you believe in reincarnation) you owe it to yourself to get the most out of it as possible! If you won't just do it for yourself do it because it is good business sense..get your marketing together girl! YOU ARE WORTH IT!!! & Let's do it together :).. I am working on getting my bros attention so he can some workout videos but in the meantime remember money is no excuse! I did it with the blogilates TV videos totally free you don't need much space..and hey don't forget to browse through the shop :) I am so excited!

Me personally, I find the more I occupy my time with fitness, between the blog, actually working out, yoga, tumblr, instagram, healthy food porn motivation the less hungry I am and likely I am to backslide, eat out of boardem. Also, don't forget to include your kids..okay have your alone time but! remember when fat cells are CREATED in childhood they NEVER leave the body they only shrink and get sucked out by lipo so they could potentially be releasing hunger hormones to your kids brains forever ahhh!! tehe However, in every negative there is a positive and instead of munching I am writing this blog....hopefully it can be a release to you as well... I can also make you a blogsite like this if you are interested hmu.. alright alright I am getting my butt in gear and going to workout now..some days pep talks help to :) the more buddies the better xoxo

P.S.

okay okay I know this went longer than I intended it to but! This is important! Have you ever looked at something, and felt your opinion affected by what someone else felt about it? An outfit for example, you buy it in the store, think it's the greatest thing and go home and a friend doesn't dig it and then suddenly you just don't think it looks as good anymore or not on you. YOUR BODY IS THE SAME WAY! So remember when you look in the mirror BE KIND be loving to it it DOES MATTER! Not to go all major

hippie on you but you MUST be able to send positive vibes about yourself to yourself because the next person to look at you is most likely to feel the same way you did about it last time you looked, it like the law of inertia or something when you think positively about something thoughts about it are most likely to continue in that direction. This goes also for the people you spend time with and around be sure you don't waste time with those who don't put you in the best light, it will be a downward spiral and may greatly affect how the world begins to view you. Remember, even if you aren't totally happy with the way you look and where you are right now view yourself in the best most flattering light possible because you want others to do the same. It is also easier to do this when you know you the gears are already turning on your plan of improvement even visualize and meditate on how you want to see yourself or get a good role model, it makes the journey seem much shorter and more satisfying. I saw major results after beginning only 2 weeks of Pop Pilates so why wait? the time will pass and you will either be better than you were, ignoring it, or in the same spot just thinking about it.

I know our attention comes at a premium these days..thanks for taking the time to read my blog... please return the favor and leave me some comments ;)
