So... have you ever gotten almost done with something and then taken forever to get back to it when you got derailed? Yeah that's the story of my life! I had the cutest little infographics and cancer puns for July...

that's right all the way back in July but I was doing this on my phone and since then I just have barely gotten my head to wrap back around fitness and wellness at all. If you've been there you feel my pain, and well shame. But anyways at least I am back or somewhere heading in that direction and since this month I am doing my best to do Cassey Ho's water challenge (since she really cannot expect much more of me these days) I feel like a duplex and look like one to :) thanks to these beautiful little ninja warriors I am growing in my belly. I figured now is a great time to finally make my way back to posting. Oh and on top of that I have this not so lovely thing called pregnancy carpool tunnel meaning my fingers are slamming on the keys now because I basically cannot feel anything but a bazaar tingle in them which is according to the guys that make the big bucks "normal" until after the babies are born. Odd stuff! I am drinking a crap ton of ginger root and trying all sorts of things because I am not totally convinced or going to give in to the idea that THIS is normal.
Anyways, I switched my water to alkaline as much as I can afford it. I would love to get one of those fancy ion infused Kangen machines but they are a little pricey for me, even the used ones on Facebook. The water does have some added benefit from just alkaline water, and you can control the PH level for things like cleaning, washing your veggies etc.

There are however, some other cheaper alternatives. The best I have found so far is getting a 5 gallon bottle ($12)and holder($25 + $25 for the pretty stand) and a bunch of ice, because I really only want it if it is ice cold. This is saving me tons from buying a $6 gallon at the super market. They do have some that you can just put on the counter top with a spout if you want to drop only like $14 on a jug and fill it up for like $5 :). It raises your metabolism, and clears out toxins. You can use I tsp salt and organic lemon and keep slices in the jug.
Alternatively, you can also make your own alkaline water by adding lemons and pink Himalayan salt to your regular water. This water defiantly has a bite to it, I add a little less salt than the recipe calls for and I like the taste of the lemon.
